Winging Cat Rescue
Please take a minute to read about this little cat rescue organization with a big, big heart. Winging Cat Rescue's mission is to save cats and kittens from death row, place them in foster care, and ultimately find forever homes for as many as possible. They are a nationwide licensed rescue organization currently focusing on (but not exlusive to) an animal control pound in Griffin, Georgia in the U.S. This pound uses inhumane gas chambers as their method of "euthanasia" and the dedicated volunteers of Winging Cat Rescue (also known on MySpace as Winging Kitty Rescue) are determined to save as many cats as they can. They also support spay/neuter programs, both financially and through education. They rely solely on private donations and on caring people who help them spread the word about cats in need through alerts, blog messages, bulletins and email groups.
